You're saying the Indian players were aware of the terms and conditions of entry for playing spectators in Australia and deliberately waited til the point when spectators couldn't get a part refund, then pulled up stumps?
Those bastards!

He hasnt kept in ages...and he was never a test keeper...Keeping in tests is not child's play. Do you think India at this stage can afford dropped catches and missed stumpings?

Kept in England actually :p Can't be any worse than MS either.

3-0/4-0/3-1 - It's all the same for India. They've been slaughtered. I think at this stage, they just have to find out if Rohit Sharma and/or Ajinkya Rahane have the goods. But it's hardly out there to suggest they don't want to drop Laxman right here right now. So how is one of them gonna play? Sehwag ain't getting dropped. G.G ain't getting dropped. Meanwhile Wriddhiman Saha...there's doubts about whether he should even be the back-up, let alone pressuring MS. Basically I'm looking it as an opportunity cost thing. Give Saha a game, sure he could help win a dead rubber, but he ain't playing until the next time MS gets suspended, and he might not even be the back-up at this point. There's not much long term benefit to that for India, and there's not much small term benefit either.

That said, I'm not sure I'd do it. But it's something worth considering imo. Strengthens the currently weak as piss batting too

Typical Michael Clarke. Always focused on the camera 8-)

To be honest though, why the rush to do it now? What can you achieve in one Test, really?
Sooner you do it the sooner you can determine whether Rohit is up to it. Let's face, if India win with the same batting order as the last 3 tests bar the switch of the keepers...great...but..who cares? ('less of course Saha smashes 200 to win the match but well...)

Like I said I'm not sure I'd do it. but if India were to do it I shouldn't wouldn't criticise it. It's a risk, but after you're down 7-0 in your last 7 overseas tests....

For India's future..1-3 is much better than 0-4.

I would rather drop Gambhir and get Dravid and Sehwag to open with Saha as the keeper.
Or just drop Laxman if you are so concerned about the future. But you cannot compromise on a specialist position in a test match.

Not holding my breath about the ODI series. We will be beaten. Morale will be at an all time low and can't see the guys growing a pair after all this ****.

Would rather Drop Dravid than make him Keep at this stage of his career for a full match, all of a sudden.

If we want to try out Rohit then drop Gambhir and Dravid can open or maybe even Saha. And if you want to try out both Rahane and Rohit, then drop both Gambhir and Laxman, IMO.
