Hmm, they mauled us at Anfield last season with Kuyt up front on his own as a false nine. Probably worth a shot given that their usual tactic is to park a donkey in front of the opposition goal.

Been very good though. Looks to have got a yard back as well, just did an outrageous piece of skill there.

Sunderland should have got a point at the death here. Guilt edge chances blown.

Oh and Dirk Krap played. For the full 90. I suspect it was based on the law of averages - ie that he'd hit a cow's arse with a banjo eventually.

What is the point in signing Andy Carroll and not serving him with crosses from wingers?

Reminds me of Chris Sutton at Chelsea, decent player but the wrong club and totally unsuited to the style of play.
