Because he is probably as desperate to play test cricket as Boyd Rankin, and can only play for Pakistan since he does have Pak nationality.

Wouldn't mind if Hassan turns up for Pakistan someday. They should allow him to play for Afghan as well imo, as well as guys like Morgan for Ireland because losing big players like these is a huge blow to the associates.

England will lose, or at best draw this series. That will mark the beginning of the end for their India-like period of "blow smoke up our own arses, we've been good for18 months" which their supporters on here have fallen for so easily.

Pakistan being Pakistan, they'll fall by the way side, as will the chokers in SA. India are on the slide too. SL and NZ don't feature in this discussion because they're SL and NZ.

Looks like we'll rightly be number one again by the end of 2013, most likely for a good 6-8 years too.

not sure how credible the guy is as he keeps blowing Sami at every chance however its disappointing to see lack of good fast bowling talent in Pakistan makes even more sense to poach Hamid Hassan now.
Such a hilarious article. You need pace to do well in the subcontinent eh? With all those home games and India tours on the calender you really need to be filling the team with those blokes.

Seemed like the worst selector.

It is upsetting that a tiny part of me (that insists we must always be crap) thinks this might actually happen. Will make it all the more fun when we beat you back to back though.

I for one would welcome yet another Sami recall.

Well tbf you need decent pace to succeed in most places. Very few medium pacers actually succeed.

tbf to him most of our better bowlers have been those who were quick through the air and relied on swing, Asif was possibly the only exception to the norm.

yeah but it does send a wrong message " You guys are performing well but we selectors think all of you are ****e"
