Would Stuart Broad make India's strongest test XI?

Must be the way I speak;) I tend to put them in retrospectively because I'm so crap at typing. In fact I've gone from not putting any in, to probably over doing it a bit, especially when I read other people's posts that don't have any commas in. Reading it back though, I have put a few in the wrong places.
Haha, it's not really an issue; gives your posts some unique character. Have always wondered though.

Hang on. Did you just yawn at someone digging up a post you made about a ****ing month ago? Gotta lol Cevno. Really? Really?!
I presume that post was dug up to show i was wrong, or something had happened that showed it was clearly wrong as it was coupled with some others saying something completely else which i didn't say.

Hence the  at the overreaction by him in almost every thread as of now plus i haven't really changed my views in this regard.

I think it's also partly the emergence of Tremlett (a Saker pick) that should allow Broad to bowl a fuller length.

Before the big fella got a regular gig Broad, with his height and pace, was probably the bowler best equipped to play "the enforcer". Bresnan, Onions and Jimmeh are all more pitch up bowlers & Finn, despite being even taller than Chris jr, naturally seems to bowl fuller and doesn't quite yet utilise all of his considerable length, falling away slightly in his delivery stride as often as not.

Tremlett, who has the great virtue of generating steepling spring from a much fuller length than most seamers (being 8' tall and that) is the best equipped to be the bad guy to duff up batters now, so hopefully someone (Flower or Saker or whomsoever) has taken Broad aside and pointed out most of his better spells have come when he's pitched the ball up to let it swing.

You're right, but I just don't see why we've ever needed anyone to play the role of "enforcer", if by "enforcer" we mean someone who's going to waste the new ball and sacrifice almost all his wicket taking potential in favour of getting all macho and bowling a steaming pile of unremitting unthreatening short stuff. Any quick bowler will benefit from having a good bouncer in his armoury, as B-Road does, but it always needs to be used judiciously. When he pitches the bloody thing up, he takes wickets. When he doesn't, he doesn't. It's quite incredible that the penny doesn't seem to have dropped till now.

I hate to say it, but I sometimes get the impression what with the non-appealing of LBWs, the histrionics at negative outcomes (thought his reaction to the denial of the Sachin leg-before, whilst understandable, might've provoked censure given his past form in that regard) and the general reviewing of everything that Broad is one of those cricketers who has more balls than brains. I think most old seamers would probably share the opinion that it's a good idea to keep the umps sweet, whereas Stu seems to go out of his way to piss them off.

He might've worked it out for himself, but equally I suspect someone might've "had a word".

Nup. Even despite averaging 13 against India. Needs to average 5 on the helpful decks of England.

Even with Broad;s improved figures I don't think he would get into the India side now with Yadav and P Kumar looking very effective.

42 Tests 130 wickets at 35.97 econ 3.38 s/r 63.8 Sharma
41 Tests 132 wickets at 32.00 econ 3.04 s/r 62.9 Broad
27 Tests 87 wickets at 37.59 econ 3.62 /sr 62.2 - Sreesanth
6 Tests 27 wickets at 25.81 econ 2.59 s/r 59.6 - Kumar
3 Tests 16 wickets at 22.93 econ 3.80 s/r 36.1 - Yadav

I think once Sharma has his ankle operation he should be fine.
