I'll admit, I am an ABU, and I really think Carrick is under-rated, by his own fans and England fans in general. He was having a good run in midfield, before he was switched to CH, even though Jones, bizzarrely got all the plaudits despite Carricks brilliant goal, which if it had been scored by anyone else would have been gushed over.

He's not a centre-back though, so to blame him for this defeat is laughable, when there were many more culpable.

De gea is a joke though, just can't handle crosses.

Fair call, I've been as critical of Carrick over the years as anyone but he's been in excellent form this season in the centre of the park. He was poor out of position today but plenty were worse. Park and Nani in particular were diabolically bad.

He's the kind of player who looks great and wins all the plaudits when they play for a midtable team, but when they play at a higher level with better players around them their deficiencies get exposed on a regular basis.

Glad Arsenal got the win today, couldn't stomach losing to that bastard Warnock. Gave a stupid interview today saying how much of a cheat he thought Van Persie was, but then adds the disclaimer "oh but he's a good player". **** off knobhead.

I see the FA have published the Suarez document today as well, have to question their timing. 5.30pm on NYE, what the hell is that?

Maybe but he's picked up a fair few trophies for Manure, and won a number of caps for England. Mind you so did Phil Neville and Wes Brown

I think he's very good at keeping possesion of the ball, which is why I rate him, he's SOOOOO much better than Anderson for instance.
