Really rather poor from Cech there, although I'm not sure whether anyone is still surprised by them.

If you have anything else on your mind other than "ball" in those situations, you're going to **** it up.

It sometimes seems like actually bothering to mark your opponent seems to have gone out of the game entirely, in favour of allowing them the freedom of your penalty box.

It's not complicated. Get between them and the ball. And stay there.

Yeah it really was, wasn't it? A true example of a "free header" and he completely botched it.

Terry's clearance off the line at the other end was really great though, much as I dislike him I have to give him that one.

Great how Ashley Cole was made to look a fool on numerous occasions by Kyle Walker as well, must surely be catching the eyes of Capello and Co by now. Insofar he's likely to soon be considered as competing for a regular starting place, I mean.

It's a **** argument.

People using the "what he said wouldn't be considered racist in Uruguay" seem to be missing the key point about this - England isn't Uruguay.

If I go abroad and break the law or do something which is culturally insensitive, I don't think "it's fine where I come from" would pass as a defence. When in Rome...

Which begs the question as to who as been the bigger waste of money - Torres at £50m or Carroll at £35m?
