Of course Kean will be 100% shocked if he's sacked, the guy has not one iota of a clue whats going on in the world.

Not sure how he can say this with any sincerity. I'm not sure I can think of any fans in the world who would be happy after watching a year of general direness in which their team has been transformed from being a reasonably safe mid-table side into relegation fodder who can't buy a win. They've won 7 league games in the last 12 months for god's sake!
Given the position of the two clubs in the table at the moment I sense an ulterior motive in Coyle pushing the case for Kean to stay.

I shouldn't have thought Coyle is in any real danger of being sacked to be honest. They've had a bad year for sure, but largely his time at the club has been pretty successful and I get the feeling he's a pretty popular boss. Not to mention the fact that they've had a number of big injuries to key players. Just seems to be one of those seasons to me. That may change if they actually end up going down I suppose, but I get the feeling they'll probably get out of the mire sooner or later. Hopefully at the expense of QPR.

Edit: Just realised you probably weren't actually suggesting Coyle was likely to be given his p45. Yes, I can very much see why he (and every other coach in the division) would be interested in Kean staying on.

I'm not sure whether Steve Kean is just able to maintain a very cool public persona and is falling to pieces internally or if he's away with the fairies. I feel sorry for him but his interviews are amusing either way.

Following last night's discussion, the CPS is apparently set to announce the outcome of their John Terry investigation this afternoon.

“John has made it clear he denies the charge. Chelsea FC has always been fully supportive of John and will continue to be so. Chelsea FC will not be commenting further while the legal case runs its course.”

Dear Liverpool, this is how you make a club statement.

Terry was caught on film making the comment

Dear John, that is how you get caught

Pretty sure Terry will attempt to brazen it out right up to the (inevitable as I see it) guilty verdict. BBC says the maximun sentence is only a £2.5k fine, which is literally nothing to him.

Slightly unfortunate aspect of the CPS deciding to prosecute is that it will (I guess) hold up the FA's own case, where some meaningful punishments might be meted out.

Till Feb I believe.

FA will give Terry a punishment in months, not games, that way half of it will be over the offseason, freeing him up for August. Probably a 6 monther if guilty, means he misses about 6-7 games - and probably still let him play at the Euro's

Calling the FA's lack of testicles now.

Doesn't matter, Terry determined to clear his name.

Probably by hiring Hugh Dennis to do a Mock the Week style voiceover of the QPR game, only option I can see left in light of the evidence....

Terry is ****ed - he wont get a jury, just a hostile District Judge if Miss Whiplash still sits there - might as well cop a plea tbh
