Not really. Our press are poor. Many seem to be focused on how the Australian press don't seem to be giving the NZers any credit for the win.

However, there was a great article on Radio New Zealand this morning - detailed interviews with the assistant coach and the bowling coach (Both Australians); clearly stoked with the win. You can probably find it on the radionz website.
RNZ: Morning Report

12th Article down - "NZ cricket drought in Australia ends"

Hopefully it's the right article, as it was a good listen this morning.

Australia v New Zealand, 2nd Test, Hobart: David Warner silences his Test doubters | Cricket News | Australia v New Zealand | ESPN Cricinfo

"It was our decision and 100% on backing my team-mate," Warner said. "No matter who it is, still going to back him. Every run was crucial. I batted with Nathan in Zimbabwe this year and he hit the running runs over there and we had to get 30 runs there as well. He's a fantastic person in general and was laughing and carrying on a little bit out there today and at the end of the day it's what happens. Doug Bracewell bowled well and it shouldn't have come down to Nathan there at the end anyway."
Too right.

When NZ ever does something in the world, the first thing we get is articles on how the rest of the world perceive this event.

Reactions to NZ winning the WC
Coverage of NZ on CNN
Foreign paper not giving credit
etc etc

I hate it so much, but I think that's how NZ is as a society. Always wanting to know what others think about us.

I was listening to radiosport in the car before. I was surprised at all the DRS talk. Miles Davis not liking it at all, Martin Crowe not liking predictive elements. I can only imagine the outrage if NZ had of lost.

Something > Nothing
I can't understand people wanting nothing. The LBW decisions looked funky, but I'm not all of a sudden going to go all anti-DRS. I'm more interested in why it looked so different than DRS normally looks. I'm not saying there is a conspiracy, I'm not saying that DRS was wrong, I want to know why it looked wrong. I'm happy with DRS when it comes to LBW.

Massive inferiority complex, there.

Regarding the DRS, imagine if there was no review system and Hussey scored 50* to bring Australia home.

It's simple big-brother little-brother mentality when it comes to Australian's & NZ'der's. The little brother always nips on the heels of the big brother striving for approval & respect, meanwhile the big brother is fairly indifferent & is only really concerned about his own agenda, even on the rare occasion when little brother wins.

Not to mention you can fall flat on your face such as in every Test after some NZ'ers claimed they'd 'figured out' McGrath. One of the better facepalms, from memory.

Yeah, imagine failing against an ATG, It's a great shame Dean Jones never made any ridiculous comments about figuring out Hadlee or I'd be able to claim a draw

Anyway, Deano never claimed he figured out Hadlee. He never had a chance.

I think it's got a lot to do with the fact our media aren't really that good.

Warner's 123 not out was a remarkable innings in the context of the match, but by definition he was not the 'man of the match'. Even Ian Healy would have to agree with that.

Veteran Australian radio commentator Jim Maxwell was highly critical of the public's decision, while Mark 'Tubby' Taylor, who provides a welcome modicum of objectivity in the otherwise cringeworthy Channel Nine comm box, was also hugely surprised.

Lol
