Doug Bracewell has really impressed me in this series. After getting pasted in his first spell of the series, then coming back to bowl well with no luck and lots of dropped catches, he's kept charging in and now he's getting the rewards in this test with six wickets in the match and the chance of a few more.

A few bowlers we've debuted in years gone by would have dropped their heads by now.
And I think he has potential at number 8 or 9 in the batting. Great job NZ selectors taking him not out of obscurity - but definitely as a young person with potential.

There's no need to pick out James Franklin like that

Also I like your use of the term 'kept charging in'. I'm going to say Bracewell is across between Bresnan and Siddle.

So once again haddin comes in with the score less than 200. i have feeling this has happened to him more times in the past 12-24 months than it happened to gilchrist all through his career

[/slight hyperbole maybe]

Haha, I wasn't thinking about Jimmeh or Butler I swear.

How big do you think his heart is?

I would definitely like to be in Australia's shoes at this stage. I think New Zealand would have to strike twice more right after lunch to make this 50/50. I think the Aussie tail can wag quite easily.

you know i can handle chappell's silly, dire moments at times because at least he pays attention to international cricket

Warner been ****blocked twice before his maiden milestones now. Stumps was called when he was on 47, now lunch on 95.

Over rate been less than stellar, frankly.

God this coffee is needed, still think Australia will win but at least we have had a decent finish however it ends up from here. Warner has done extremely well, so much for him just being a big hitting guy. Yes he has had luck but you need some on this deck, him and Watson for India series I presume.

Bracewell looks a prospect, if they can just get Southee to believe in himself they would have a decent attack coming along. NZ have done their usual trick, write them off and they play well.

Who says test cricket is struggling, possibly the best year of matches in the last 30.

Whatever happens, this game has been good fun.

I still think Australia will take the game away from us after lunch, but hey, it's been fun.

And he has a memory at least. It was good when he brought up NZ's tour to England in 2004, and remembered how NZ lost the advantage in those matches.

AWTA the thing is the Aussies know they can collapse in a heap like they did just before lunch. Pressure does funny things to the most experienced players, makes Warner's knock even better.

What does Langer actually do? I'm no batting expert but the problems plaguing Ponting are just so obvious.
