Not our day.
Rarely is. The most you can expect out of NZ is the odd competitive session but Aussies always regard them as the undercard who'll try but usually be found severely wanting.

While Australia needs to make some changes, surely the kiwis do too.

McCullum needs to drop down the order or drop out. Surely he's a flat track bully at best.

Guptill looks ordinary.

Taylor needs to score runs consistently against decent opposition.

Young is not the keeper to take them forward.

Martin has had the measure of Hughes by and large but can't last that much longer.

Boult is a find but Southee's been disappointing in favourable bowling conditions. In fact he might have had more spunk about him last tour here.

Brownlie has shown true Aussie grit and should be a good stalwart for them.

Ryder has been careless and seemingly left runs out there but succumbed through carelessness as much as anything.

Unfortunately we don't have 9 guys waiting in the wings who are better than these guys.

(I don't actually disagree with any of your points, though.)

You and Scaly should totally go out.

The English bowlers will be happiest if Hughes scores runs and avoids the axe again. You can see him being cannon fodder over there again!!

Deep square leg to Phil Hughes = the most useless fielding position in the history of cricket.
Taylors fielding positions and decisions not to review have cost us. along with his decision to bat first in the last game. Lets hope he makes a few good calls from here to make up for it.

HE is gambling as much as he can by backing young Boult here.
