Does Mark Taylor not realize Guptill is just concentrating on taking the shine off the ball? Clearly it becomes easier to bat on this wicket when the ball is 40+ overs old.

It's funny because they don't really know how Ryder and Guptill actually play Test cricket. If the ball stops moving around and Guptill is still there he'll be playing shots down the ground that they would go gaga over.

Personally I'd just be happy to see Guptill bat out this session.
