Haha, when the others in the list are all injured, you'd like to think he is in contention, or at least should be.
You'd think so, but Pattinson and Cummins were both selected ahead of him for the last 2 series when Bollinger had toured and done well in the ODI legs.

I suppose with the injury crisis currently affecting Australia's bowling stocks he probably would have been picked, but he seems to have been seriously blacklisted as far as Tests go.

That's shattering news. Would have liked to see him in action against Dravid and Sachin. Would have made good viewing.
Yeah would have been sooo good. Very small chance he might play in the third test though, so fingers crossed. Am looking forward to Harris and Pattinson versus those two anyway, assuming both make the team.

Mukund's selection was pretty fair. Rahane hasn't been a opener much at all at FC level, while Mukund has always been.
Rahane has played mainly as an opener and number 3 batsmen in FC level,
so I guess it wouldn't be an issue to pick him as an opener and that's the reason why he opened against England in ODIs. Mukund's selection never looked OK to me, he still needs time I guess.

Injury count down starts

1) Praveen Kumar
2) Varun Aaron...............Continued
Well, Sreesanth is injured too, if you want to include him and Munaf hasn't played since his ankle injury either.

Ishant is carrying a injury, and Zaheer has to be still confirmed finally.

It will be interesting to see what kind of pitches get thrown up at the four venues, particularly in light of the excellent Gabba and Bellerive pitches. I get the feeling that Adelaide and the MCG will be draws on boring roads so it may well be down to Sydney and Perth to deliver.

Replace every injured fast bowler with a batsman and play as many batsmen as possible in every Test:.It will be interesting at least and will make no difference from picking the likes of Mithun and Vinaykumar as far as the bowling is concerned

Ind or Aus, this is a tough one mainly because we don't know which Ind is going to show up in Aus .... The 2008 one or the one that showed up in Eng this year

Aus would start as the fav because we can expect a certain level of performance from them. Ind brings to the table a highly experienced batting line up and bowlers who are like a lottery. If Sehwag and Zak (if fit) fire and play to their potential, Ind could win 2-1

I haven't followed cricket much lately but this series is mouthwatering :D

BigBash. Dunk could have played in the 2nd team with the other Sydney Thunder players but the first game there was no-one. Cowan's been released to play in it but say a Melb team isn't gonna release their back up keeper for obv reasons.
