I think they're just trying to emulate us from the 90s. They've got the ruinous politics, the selector re-shuffles, the insane collapses, the fickle selections whilst other guys go on playing til they collect a pension and now they're trying to create English playing conditions. The only shame is they're a little bit better than the England team from the 90s.
