FFS, this commentary is doing my head in, am I accidentally tuned into manure Fanzone?
Guess they're all scared of Roy Keane.

The comment on Rooney I found pretty funny. Saying how he'd played well apart from one he missed... err what? 'Which one' and no he hasn't. I don't remember commentators saying how well a goalkeeper has done apart that rolled backpass they let in when they've played averagely otherwise. Rooney hasn't hit a decent shot all night and he's had at least 3 opportunities, one of them a total sitter. He hasn't created much if anything either.

Has enormous potential, but he's liable to get terrible piles with the way all and sundry are crawling up his arse.

Be nice if looked a little less half-sharp too.

Anyway, lol ManUre. Enjoy the Europa League.

Man Utd's midfield is ****.

Got the Ajax-Real Madrid game on, referee and his linesmen are either bent or seriously incompetent. Ajax have had 2 goals disallowed for non-existent offsides.
Intriguing that Kyiv had a man sent off, and then Lyon scored six in the second half to complete the extortionate goal-difference swing that was required to send Ajax out.

Wonder what the betting patterns were like?

Sky slamming Rooney's performance now - "let the game pass him by". Wonder if ITV were watching the same game?

Wayne Rooney is an over-hyped donkey. "World class" my arse.

Not particularly pleased that City have gone out to be honest, but am glad that there is now zero chance of Arsenal meeting them somewhere down the line. Doubt it would have ended well.

I dunno, probably too early to write him off, but I never got the hype, Valencia better in rvery way, IMHO.
Youngs slipped off the radar a bit, but Valencia has been a shocker from what I've seen this season, slipped into Carrick passing mode, and has rarely tried to beat the full back.

I suspect the Manure haters on here are rather enjoying this referee as well as the game so far.

This sort of game shows up Jones' lack of ability in the final third somewhat. Keeps on lifting into the box from central positions, which is a bit hopeless with Manure's short-arses up front and they generally only have two people at most in the penalty area anyway.

Giggs looks likely to actually create something, Nani could do it the hard way with sheer persistence of taking on 2-3 players and getting a decent ball in. But other than it's rather pedestrian.
In fairness, the lump it into the box has been our staple 'Were ****ed, plan B' tactic for donkeys. Rio's normally the hoofer. Its never, ever, worked, and when it starts i know its time to turn the game off.

Smitteh, Romania, May, be there. I shall wear a red carnation.

At least you've been knocked out by good teams. Failing to get through from a group containing no other decent side is lolbad.
If by "good teams" you mean "one good team" then yeah. The rest of their group should have been easy - Napoli who aren't exactly the best team in a very poor league and Villarreal, who are among the worst teams in the competition. Harder than ours by quite a long way, it's still quite a serious underachievement though.

Think that might be a little harsh on Napoli, but you'd expect a team with a squad like City's to see them off. Villareal are lamentable though, no doubt about that.
