Mate, still an amazing performance to participate in a Youth World Cup and if anyone was going to get a First Class debut later, you would think it would be a spinner.
I was looking through your World Cup performances the other day and your performances were far superior to Holland's. His record isn't special, seriously how many spinners would you say you are behind in Victoria? Difficult to answer I would imagine, but it would be interesting to know.

Has the Under 17 Championships been much of an indicator for future talent? Who in the Australian squad represented their State team?
Generally interested. I recall Brad Hodge was the player of the tournament many years ago. I'm sure if you asked Hodge, he would tell you too.

most of the below 30's pretty much. such is the way we scount nowadays. As of the last two tests: Pattinson, Cummins, Siddle, Starc, Warner, Clarke and Hughes. Even Lyon! Usman a surprising omission, although Hastings, Warner, Cooper, Forrest and Moz made that a tough team to crack.

can't be bothered checking out ponting, hussey, MJ, haddin and watson. pretty sure ponting had already been singled out by that point so he's a yes...even if they even existed. MJ surely too? unsure about the rest. haddin being in the act may have sneaked under

Usman's a year younger than that team, although he missed out on the U/17s that year too. Came into the U/19s the next year and we were all like, woah, where's this guy been? And why do you still play Cazzulino?
