ha, I go off and have dinner and come back to find this news. FMD the Shield this year is turning on the entertainment. I'd love to know what Boof is doing with Qld but they just won't lay down.

That ending looks absolutely loltastic with both sides trying their best to hand the other the win. Crazy ****.

Why didn't Feldman and Cutting purposely get run out attempting the second run? Wouldn't QLD have gotten more competition points with a tie?

Sure it would've been 3?

I would've thought that they would share the 6 points... so Vic get 2 for first innings, then they both get two for the tie.

So QLD 2 points and VIC 4... no?

Oh god. This is the 2nd time in the past 2 weeks that the scores have finished level but it wasn't a tie.

who gets what points if you lose on first innings and win outright?
Losing team gets 2 points, winning team still gets the full 6.

In other news, the WA/SA game looks like a paddlin'. Simmons scored a 50, ffs.

What a mess South Australia are in. Of the bowlers playing today Peter George has 20 wickets for the season, next highest is Mennie with 4 followed by Haberfield with 1.

Grade cricket, so important in Berry's plans, will be the source of most of the Redbacks' new talent on the new coach's watch. Expect the imports to stop, unless South Australia can get their hands on a major star from interstate, and the promotion of young home-grown South Australians to become more of a focus. The retirements of Manou and Ben Edmondson have already opened up two spots in the starting line-up.
