Dear Brendon and Martin. I know at the very least you will look suspect and at your best will still cause heart palpitations for any NZ followers. Please just get bat on anything straight and when you edge the ball, edge it into the gaps.

Have been lured by the temptation of some Test cricket and abort my early night and crack on past midnight. Not going to be a good sight in the morning, but anticipation heightened by the news that NZ are to bat. Doubt Brendon McCullum will be dull, maybe get a chance to see Kane Williamson, and the chance to have a look at James Pattinson and Mitchell Starc in the Test arena. Bring it on!

Don't really get how 'horses for courses' selections work, if that's what the selection of Starc is... He bombs, he gets dropped. He takes a massive haul, and noone has the cojones to drop him after that, even if he wouldn't be suited for pitch in the next match.
