I would genuinely rather have bad light right now than wickets. No idea why I've become so shamelessly partisan for the Australians of all people, but I'm fairly sure it's to do with the potential awesomeness of this innings if it keeps going.

Wow going as far back as Dec 2006 Ponting is averaging less than 40 with the bat.

Not sure just how selective they are at cricinfo about publishing their emails, but the amount of support for Ponting coming from India is heartening.
