Memo bowlers.

If you see a left hander who chokes the bat, he will be able to hook and pull.

The only time Khawaja scores is with the pull shot, or lovely drives he only plays at the start of his innings.

Khawaja looking a bit more comfortable at the crease than a few other instances IMO.

Edit: Immediately owned. Still there though.

Can just imagine Punter tonning up out of sheer determination, before retiring at the end of the series. Just a a final, grand flipping of the bird to the rest of us.

This really is enthralling. Just have the feeling that if Ponting can somehow stay there for an hour or so everything will fall into place for him. Seen him do it too many times to feel that it's beyond him.

Surprised to hear AB wax lyrical about these balls from Morkel, because he'd let them go on length quite comfortably were he batting.

Modest to a fault, isn't he? When Jackman was talking about AB having the most test runs in the third innings he said something about it being runs in the first that really mattered.

Actually think that stand up 45 degree back foot drive is the Ponting signature shot. It's neither a square cut nor a back foot drive per se.

It's quite unique to him.

Philander reminds me of a faster version of Mohammed Asif in a way. He bowls with a perfect seam position at all times.
Amazing that he didn't play sooner, regardless of fitness/attitude issues. He just complements Steyn and Morkel so well. If Tahir clicks at this level then South Africa could have an extremely balanced attack, the best since the days of Warne/McGrath.

Why does Steyn always go around the wicket to lefties. How did he get Khawaja and Hussey out in the first innings?

Pommie and Border make a pretty good commentary team. Border just gels with him better than the other blokes IMO both seem like genuinely nice blokes.

So is his pull, stylistically. No one has one quite like him.
