So we should accept mediocrity?

I guess it worked for England after 30 odd years...
I'm not saying that.

Its just sometimes it comes across as arrogance. Like faliure is always down to simple boneheadedness or something. Why not give credit to the opposition? Or just accept the fact that your team isn't that good?

I'm pretty sure Hussey works his ass off to get to where he is. Its not like he's lazy or some ****. Fact is he's just got older and isn't capable of facing down the no1 test bowler when he's in this kind of rythm.

If you had read my post, you'll note that I gave credit to South Africa's bowling though. So that really is a wrong assumption to make.

In fairness to Huss, even if the ball wasn't a jaffa, it was hot on the heels of a good sequence. Doesn't need to be a jaffa when the bowling around the wicket ball is good.
That's true too. But that's also test cricket mate. There's a period where the bowlers tighten up, and something has to give. But winning those moments is part of it all.

I don't see out blokes having he moxie to win many of them these days.

Why? For going hard at a rare loose delivery? Yeah, massively stupid, fmd.
It was MS Dhoni's patented collapse-shot, cover-driving a full outswinger with no foot movement. The entire Saffa field is basically a 40ft banner saying "PLEASEPLEASEPLEASE PLAY A COVER DRIVE". Take the ****ing hint, eh.

Any team is prone to that **** when they're playing without confidence or, for example, just a random one with absolutely no basis in reality, carrying a couple of players.
