Sharma took a bucket load of wickets in the West Indies earlier this year but then was treated like a club bowler when he toured England. Free wickets here won't mean **** when he tours Australia.

He's not a poor bowler. Nor is he incapable of improving. Nor is he vastly inferior to Ojha. And Ojha isn't anything special- just fires it in flat six times out of six, and he'll get devoured in Australia. Given that India's focus abroad is always on pace, he should have been given more than his paltry total of four overs.

A) Having the spinners in groove is as important as the seamers.

B)The pitch is turning and the West Indies struggling against spin, so he is trying to win a match too.:shock:

His job is to win this Test match, not treat it as an exhibition for Australia. If he thinks spinners would be more beneficial, he needs to bowl them. Bowling a bowler who you think is less likely to take a wicket just so he can have match practice for a series sometime in the future is absolutely asinine.

Bowled anything but flat since coming back into the side. Think he might do better in Aus than Ashwin as well. Been impressed with him.

At least they are making a go of it this time. Need both to go onto tons though if they have any hope of avoiding an innings defeat.
