3/13 first ball after lunch v 6/20 odd with only bowlers for support. yeah i'm comfortable with calling hussey's stupid shot worse than haddin's stupid shot

Been out since Hughes got dismissed so I haven't seen it, but if what Haddin had been trying to do actually came off then would everyone here be praising him for counter-attacking out of a dire situation? Whereas because of the nature of how he had to bat, the nature of his dismissal looks utterly abysmal?

His execution was poor. It's a fine line.

Smith has struggled against him in the past though iirc. Not a bad idea bowling a left hander against him, he has struggled against guys like Bollinger as well.

FYI Australia's lowest total since 1896 :O

I think no one noticed that South Africa have already gone past Australia's 2nd Innings total, or are trying to ignore it.

Guessing that with the roller in effect that the South Africans are trying to lay a platform. Smith is playing well, the bowling isn't particularly bad, so credit to the South Africans here.

23 wickets in a day.. But of course, ICC will only constitute enquiries against SC wickets, coz it is only bad cricket when wickets aid spinners. When they aid seamers, that is what cricket is all about... :dry:

As has been said, this may be a valid point if the ICC do not sanction this pitch. However, maybe we should wait and see what they do before criticising decisions they haven't made yet, eh?

FTR, I don't have any problem with this sorta wicket or the sort that SA got in Kolkata.. It is the flat ones that really should be reported.

You remember the match in Mumbai when Australia lost 10 wickets in a day and Ricky asked Dravid to join him in complaining about the pitch to the ICC?

Maybe you could create a separate thread about the pitches?
