It was pretty bad actually, very unlike him. Haddin still wins thoughJust gonna throw this out there....I thought Hussey's shot was worse than Haddin's
Annoying and embarrassing isn't it?Business as usual for Haddin. He thinks he can win Australia the game with his words of wisdom to the batsman.
3/13 first ball after lunch v 6/20 odd with only bowlers for support. yeah i'm comfortable with calling hussey's stupid shot worse than haddin's stupid shotIt was pretty bad actually, very unlike him. Haddin still wins though
Been out since Hughes got dismissed so I haven't seen it, but if what Haddin had been trying to do actually came off then would everyone here be praising him for counter-attacking out of a dire situation? Whereas because of the nature of how he had to bat, the nature of his dismissal looks utterly abysmal? For you to suggest it was the worst shot every by an Australian batsman just shows a complete lack of understanding.
He just watched 5 wickets fall cheaply, and another 10 before that through a ball having the batsman's name on it. Couple that with how he was dismissed in the first innings, through a serious of plays and misses through little prods to seaming deliveries then finally edging one, you're actually going to sit here and say he should have just stuck around like that when they were 5/20 with Johnson at the other end, Marsh looking like he wasn't going to bat and a lead of 200?? lol.
That's pretty much exactly it.Been out since Hughes got dismissed so I haven't seen it, but if what Haddin had been trying to do actually came off then would everyone here be praising him for counter-attacking out of a dire situation? Whereas because of the nature of how he had to bat, the nature of his dismissal looks utterly abysmal?
Smith has struggled against him in the past though iirc. Not a bad idea bowling a left hander against him, he has struggled against guys like Bollinger as well.Needing to tighten things up, we naturally turn to Mitch.
Agree. Spinners are lame.23 wickets in a day.. But of course, ICC will only constitute enquiries against SC wickets, coz it is only bad cricket when wickets aid spinners. When they aid seamers, that is what cricket is all about...
As has been said, this may be a valid point if the ICC do not sanction this pitch. However, maybe we should wait and see what they do before criticising decisions they haven't made yet, eh?23 wickets in a day.. But of course, ICC will only constitute enquiries against SC wickets, coz it is only bad cricket when wickets aid spinners. When they aid seamers, that is what cricket is all about...
It's the victim thing.oh my god shut the **** up about pitch reports.
Oh Christ will you guys kindly STFU23 wickets in a day.. But of course, ICC will only constitute enquiries against SC wickets, coz it is only bad cricket when wickets aid spinners. When they aid seamers, that is what cricket is all about...
why exactly? IS it wrong to point out stupidity on the ICC's part?oh my god shut the **** up about pitch reports.
You remember the match in Mumbai when Australia lost 10 wickets in a day and Ricky asked Dravid to join him in complaining about the pitch to the ICC?23 wickets in a day.. But of course, ICC will only constitute enquiries against SC wickets, coz it is only bad cricket when wickets aid spinners. When they aid seamers, that is what cricket is all about...
