Having not bowled for 20 years til last season and discovering if you give them more air than Singapore Airlines you invariably get wickets, I can attest to the truth of this.

Yeah, surprisingly that works pretty well. Tailenders in our league never leave the crease, but are quite likely to pat a full length offspinner straight to the hands of cover. All good for the bowling team!

Encouraging thing from our top order today was they didn't throw their wickets away. Admittedly Watson and Ponting didn't really get a chance too. But it was nice to see us 5 for **** all and be able to say "well we haven't given them any of those wickets"
