International 12th Man
****ing Siddle! Can't believe he's lasted this long against an attack of this quality.

I don't mind seeing the tailender play the perfect on-drive or textbook forward defense, but allowing them to scratch around for runs while looking so clumsy is just dire.

Brings back memories of Murali swatting flies with the bat. /*shudders*/

Let it be said unequivocally, this was Michael Clarke's finest hour.
Yeah, a bit like a few of Bell's innings in the last year or so. He couldn't have played any better and Ponting would be proud to have put his name to an innings like that. Clarke and Bell are similar that they are easily the most pleasing on the eye in their sides yet get slaughtered regularly if they don't produce.

Today's starthelps, could easily have got out early after yesterday. Shows he is not only in good nick but fit and focussed too. How often does a century maker get out early the next morning after a brilliant ton the day before.

It brings back memories of Steyn batting with Duminy in Melbourne, only about 200 runs less in the partnership.

Bloody Siddle was a pain to remove a few times in this years Ashes.

Would actually be a great pick IMO assuming he doesn't decline. I actually said it before the last Ashes series in England; the conditions there would suit him no end.
Haha is why I said it tbh. Bich to have a QLD bias, combined with his sympathy for the 12th man...it could happen!

Yeah good point. He's clicked back into gear well.

Clarke reminds me of a cross between M Waugh (the ball from off stump through midwicket) and Slater (backlift and pretty compact stance). He's good to watch for sure.
