Nah, low bounce is dire. Hinders both batsmen and bowlers and usually makes for really poor watching.
Not really. Easily watch someone like Suresh Raina bat on these pitches where he is at his best than on a pitch where there is extra bounce. So it depends on the batsman and bowlers and how they deal with it.

250 / 5 is a pretty par score on day 1 any where in the world and could have been quicker had Braithwaite had a slightly quicker style of scoring.

In any case, nothing can be done about the natural soil of the place and if they put some grass on the surface if it is live and green, it will result in a real flat wicket as it will hold it together and make it consistent. And if they scatter more brown grass on it then though there will be some bounce from some areas on day 1, some areas will remain low and ICC and others will moan about uneven bounce.

Indian Bowling attack is missing its spearhead Zaheer Khan. Shreesanth was doing good this time. Why did they dropped him
Teja, you can post from your real account.

He was not doing well at all this time(Was utter Crap) btw, and hence he was dropped. Welcome to forums!!

Only one solution then - stop playing cricket in India.

the reason we play test cricket in different countries is to see how players adjust to different conditions and Chanders scoring rate shows stroke making was not a issue. The only concern I have is no wickers for the pacers on day !

Akin to Spinners not getting assistance even on day 5 on many wickets.

The seamers will get some assistance if and when the wicket cracks up too and it was reversing alright, even though slow and low.

Whatever it takes!!!
Its also gotta do with the quality of the seamers. Think if Australia played here, I am sure their pacers would have nipped out at least 3 or 4.

First bit of commentary I read about the game makes me want to vomit all over the sycophantic tit on Cricinfo:

69.5 Brathwaite's resistance is over. MS Dhoni has pulled off a smart stumping, the sort you see from the smartest cookies in gully cricket. What a set up. Ojha sends this down a little wider, a little slower, but just as full as he has been all day. Brathwaite is sucked out into the extensive forward lean and prod, but the ball breaks away and leaves him groping. Dhoni took almost no time to collect the ball and whip out the bails. The quickest hands you will ever see. Reminiscent of the stumping he pulled off for Ojha v Michael Clarke in Bangalore last year. The third umpire finds Brathwaite's back foot is still in the process of getting back in. With another keeper, it might have. 180/4

No doubt every one of India's boundaries will be treated as if Bradman in his pomp would have look on in awe.

Anyway hope West Indies can make 400 and bowl decently. Have a proper game. I think India would be the more pleased team, they'll be looking at 350 and under and taking control of the game.
Maybe watching the game might help.

And for those complaining about Indian crowds, watch the applause for Chanders' century. Delhi is one of the most unsporting crowds in India as well... So was really good to see the applause there.

Delhi gets a pretty decent crowd for test matches, tbf.

Mohali is the worst crowd in India, IMO.
