Quote is in good fun - thought it was a good interaction between us. I will take it down if you prefer.
No no not at all, just wondering...

A GM bat with 13 grains, 2 pound 7..the man knows what he likes. Looks sweet too, those new graphics are pretty sharp.

I'll make a prediction - Crowe will average 35 in club cricket and not play for the Aces

Whoops, I put the other post in wrong thread. Yep, it'll be short-lived. He'll tire of changing under a tree, playing with club players, having to umpire, having to bat against player umpires (although none will dare give him out) etc etc plus injuries.

What standard of cricket was this?
Also, was he actually able to run between the wickets without the aid of a zimmer frame?

He faced reasonable bowlers. Not current first class standard, but reasonable.

He had his bat modified to act as a walking stick.

Maybe just wrong link - there's a betting option for how many runs Crowe will get.

So what chance do we give him of getting back in the Black Caps?

Let's say he gets in the Auckland team and scores back to back to back hundreds would the selectors consider him?

Even in the unlikely event that happens, I doubt they'll pick him until he's played a full season and shown he's fit and this isn't just a one off thing.

Not a chance for test cricket. Though it would be SO awesome if it happened. I guess if he played a full season and scored 8 hundreds.....

Sure would be awesome if it did happen. Who's been the oldest player to play Test cricket?

Wilfred Rhodes, 52 years old. Crowe is 49.

Even more awesome would be seeing Simpson's record (?) of almost 10 years between retirement and comeback being broken.
