Asif not found guilty of conspiracy to accept corrupt payments etc. (yet) but guilty on conspiracy to cheat.

Jury been sent out again on that more serious Asif charge.

Both found guilty unanimously on conspiracy to cheat. Butt's charge on conspiracy to accept corrupt payments was a majority verdict.

Good to see the verdicts on at least the cheating charge were unanimous.

Still sad though, what idiots they have been.

How does that work unless there is new evidence?

Either he is guilty or if there is doubt he is not.

Apparently there is legal argument taking place at the moment. Maybe the outcome of that has some influence on the decision?

Sad if they go to jail. They should be fined at the most
Why is it sad? They got to do something most people can only dream of doing, playing international sport. They got a good lifestyle out of it, something most Pakistanis can only dream of. They've been extremely fortunate but that wasn't enough for them. They've cheated the Pakistan people and the spectators. They're scum. They deserve to be locked up.

Aamir did the right thing. Unfortunately for Butt and Asif, their lies got caught.

On a different note, I find it shocking that Pakistani doesn't even possess the diplomatic prowess to get their players tried in their own country.

Google "Hung Jury"

Can understand if the arguments are still going on, but I thought that all the arguments had concluded earlier and the Jury was deliberating for the past few days and still was hung.

Can the judge in such a situation refer to the same jury again? I.e ask those in minority to change their positions?
