Weren't you the one constantly whining about our fragile battingline? And now that the batting line has achieved some amount of credibility in the last two matches, you want an enforcer?

What exactly makes you happy?Scoring 1500 runs in an innings at a run-rate of 6/over and getting the opposition out for 10 runs in an innings with their run rate 0.5/over?
Its a case of continuous improvement my friend.

Take an example of 80's Australia They were completely on the rocks the resurgence started withe steady batsman like Border, Steve Waugh, Geoff Marsh once there was stability in the side they did not sit back on the same formula they brought in flashy stroke players like Mark Waugh, Ricky Ponting and others the whole process turned them in to a world beating side.

Yes our batting has improved a lot in the last 12 months however that does not mean there is no room for improvement an agressive middle order batsman with Misbah,Younis and Azhar will be an ideal foil for this side.
lol. Xuhaib being called out on his U-Turns these days :p........haha.....although I must admit that the reply from Xuhaib on this one is pretty decent

Misbah and the nightwatchman gone now, so no need to entertain thoughts of a declaration. They'll be bowling by tonight.

Lead of 200 is still on, but that's up to Shafique now. I suppose it's not unreasonable to think Adnan and Rehman could get some runs on this track against this attack though.

200 is a long shot IMO.

I think they'll get around 130-140,which would still set up the match nicely.Srilanka's batting line is good enough to get around 300 in the 3rd innings, which would leave Pakistan with 150 to get,and that would make for an interesting match on the 5th day.

I think with both batsmen set, and the sl bowlers worn down this is the session to punish sl.

If Pakistan do that, and run sl further ragged then that would set the platform for a win, else Sri Lanka can still bat their way to a draw.

Pakistan need to have a bowl today no matter what happens.Regardless of whether they are bowled out or not.

Asad getting his maiden century would just be the icing on the cake.

I could have sworn that was more out than the one actually given... UDRS or not, competent umpires are a baseline necessity, surely.

UDRS has changed standards. When people say "competent umpires" they often mean "as good as the very best in the world". Fact is, people make mistakes, always have done.

If only we had some sort of system to help make up for that. Ah well.

All over. 403 probably what they would've expected at the start of the day, if a lot less than it seemed when Shafique and Akmal were batting so well.

Difference between each side's tail end batting only making the difference between a very comfy lead and a commanding one, though.

Should be plenty of time for a result in this match. If Pakistan can have one of Sangakkara or Jayawardene back in the hutch today then they're in a great position, if not then I can see a lengthy third innings, and they could well still find themselves with a tricky last day chase.

Match set nicely now.Pakistan are obviously in the driving seat, but chasing in the 4th innings is always tricky.

poor stuff from the tail Rehman should get a real dressing down for that stroke. Asad batted well but got out to a poor stroke should have cashed in since he was in. Spinners need to come to the party in this innings.
