not really.......they are not quite as **** or dont look to be quite as **** anytime soon.

this looks like a replay of the first test. Pakistan's run rate dipping very quickly

Run rate dipping, but I think pitch is doing a bit more.

A performance like the last time, when pak chased the sl total down with only 1 wicket was perfectly acceptable, IMO, it's just what happened after that wasn't acceptable.

Seems as though there was a bit of life in this wicket after all. That 9th wicket stand could well end up hurting them badly if that's the case.

Don't remember the last time I said this about Lanka, but the bowling has been pretty good today morning. All the three speedsters have bowled in percentage areas and asked uncomfortable questions.

Was particularly impressed by Prasad even though the first wicket should've been Lakmal's. He's bending his back, getting some life off this deck and there is some definite reverse in. Lakmal's been just as impressive at a slightly reduced pace, certainly off the pitch, but very good areas.

Nah, didn't you get the memo?

Any team that loses is either a minnow or not trying. Any side that wins can't win away from home / can't win at home (delete as appropriate), and if all else fails, it's important to point out that any good sides aren't as good as the best side you've ever seen.

The crucial thing to remember is that no-one ever achieves anything in cricket.
 Classic!

I swear I'd have strangled Dilshan if I were Lakmal or Wela. It's none of your ****ing business, you batsman, offspinner ***t! :@ :@

You don't change the ball when it's reverse swinging. I couldn't give a damn if he's the skipper. The team's fast bowlers must decide if the ball's out of shape and they want it changed. Would loved to have seen Kim Hughes do that when Lillee was bowling. Not your damn area, Dil!

"There once was a game of cricket, Played on a boring wicket, Sri Lanka bowled out, In a dreadful rout, And now Pakistan's playing slow cricket."

FFS why can't they increase their pace. This the reason why they drew in the first test. Is this the future of Pakistan test cricket - draws.

The runrate in the last 10 overs has increased. And it will get better if these two carry on the partnership. We should reach 300 by day end, which is good enough.

And let's not act like Srilanka have been through pies at them all morning. They have bowled well, and the current situation of the match does both teams justice. We'll definitely have a result this time.

I am beginning to like this guy despite that avatar pic. The two sentences that I've bolded make a lot of sense, IMHO!

The ball's reversing in a bit and both Lakmal and Prasad have employed that well. The left-arm spinner always throttles runs. Don't see where they can get easy runs from.

EDIT: Patting back innocuous half-volleys =/= respecting the good deliveries

lets hope we get a result this time around (as Salman says we will. But Salman has been wrong more often than not :p)

Don't intend to come across as being overcritical, but Prasad is not concealing the ball well enough for my liking. He's been getting the ball to move away this over, but the way he loads up and delivers, the batsman can see the shiny side all the way through.

Should be hiding the ball with his left hand, which is doing nothing, IMHO. Keeps 'em guessing and trying to pick movement off the deck at 85 mph is one helluva proposition.

yeah man. You are being over critical :p........

Azhar Ali gets another 50. I really like the lad. I hope he finally makes a 100. Doesn't seem like it though

Yeah, don't know what the issue is? Looks very balanced at the crease for a young batsman, is seldom rushed and has the temparament and run hunger of a champion test batsman. Should be notching up centuries for fun with raw ingredients like those!
