Ha ha, if you understand the rules of this game you'll know that I didn't say that Benaud is overrated. In fact, I feel that he is underrated.

The fact that I end up with him in almost every draft thread in CW testifies that.

Overrated - Hit and miss allrounders who can slog a few and bowl a few pies such as Abdul Razzaq, Albie Morkel, Kieron Pollard etc...

Underrated - Jacques Kallis. Arguably the greatest cricketer of all time.

haven't trawled through all the posts, but i do hope chappelli's name has popped up in the underrated camp.

and perhaps his brother was/is a touch overrated?!

Probably mildly overrated. If he'd have had a longer test career I suspect his test average might've ended up closer to his FC figure. One of the great "Hail Mary" selections tho and, I suppose, one that shows the virtue in picking players based on how they look rather than just going on the stats.

Over rated - James Anderson - he has gone up a few notches from a rock bottom base, has cashed in against weak teams in favorable conditions over the past two years and suddenly he is in steyns league??

Under rated - zaheer khan, he pretty much IS the Indian bowling attack.

North is an underrated bowler, capable of very useful spells and picked up important wickets.

Does anyone rate him as a batsman? If not then underrated as he isn't as bad as he is made out.
