yep, would like to say I've never been infracted, so I don't believe Cevno was treated worse then me, but all I did was make a casual statement. Still don't get what or why he said it, it was so odd. It was just like he'd singled me out, and I wouldn't have minded if it was one comment, but he kept on and on, justifying it. Even after a mod had mentioned it was an odd statement to make. very odd.

Keep distorting the events and associating everything with the whole Indians get away with everything view that has been propogated by few, to defend their own misdemeanours which they like to defend by saying "calling it, as they see it" which is frankly a bollocks excuse and hypocritical at the same time.And basically everyone can then use that then and get away with everything they want.

And please go back and study the context of the incident you are outlining, and then present the facts correctly. Not as what suits your argument to generalize every Indian poster.

there is really no need for that reaction...i really like you as a poster and was not attacking you or your post in any sense of the word...just trying to make a point as mildly and politely as possible...in any case i said what i wanted to say and i am not interested in an argument over this...would completely defeat the purpose of my post...

He's now been banned as a multi though. People see that poster for who and what they know him to be.

I see what you say about not acting on assumptions, but I think the mods go too far the other way, and don't react until they have a level of proof which seems disproportionate to someone being banned from a web site for being a multi.

Burgey, It is your opinion and I respect it but yours or mine or any other group opinion alone can not decide if a person is a multi or serial troll. There has to be some concrete proof and I am pretty sure no member could provide that in Bun's case.

I will be honest here to say that Bun's posts didn't bother me as much infact during Bun's interaction with GIMH and GF, I always found both parties to be equally annoying but hardly life ban worthy merely on the basis of the debate/argument between them. I think I would not have been comfortable had Bun been banned primarily on the basis of suspicion of certain group of members here.

I see your point on that. I think we disagree on where the line is drawn in this case is all.

And more uncomfortable, if Blaze 18 would have banned based on suspicion of certain members. Because don't think posting of either looked in isolation, specially Blaze 18's deserved banning.

And GF's ban in any case i believe, had nothing to do with Bun. GIMH's did but he was told time and again to ignore him if he found him so provocative but chose to nigh on respond to almost his every post, even when it wasn't a bad post at all and giving him the reaction he wanted.

Many way worst Posters/Trolls/Multi's have been ignored in the past and even recently by many.

Anil's got this one, you can easily tell when someone is trolling or being serious. None of the mentioned posters here are very good/subtle at doing it. Ignore or just reply with a

i swear more people on the forum obsess over this guy than any one cricketer..isn't this exactly the reaction he would be hoping to get by his actions? i would think he is exulting at the chaos he is causing on the forum...wouldn't this be all the more incentive for him to come back in another avatar?

how about if we report someone and then completely ignore that guy or if someone feels that strongly about it, email the mods and then completely ignore the guy? the mods will look into it when they have the time and take action when they have enough proof and in the meantime, if he doesn't get anywhere with provocation, wouldn't he simply run out of motivation at some point? i just feel it would be a better solution to make the guy (and others of his ilk) completely insignificant and have him fade away than what is happening right now...?

Let me have a crack at reiterating as well. When you feel someone is trolling, report them. When you go after them directly, it ruins threads for others. Believe it not, there are many people on this forum who have zero interest in you or others "outing" a multi. They don't want to see a match thread turned into a flame war. That's the reaction I'm talking about.

I also don't know how else to emphasize it, but a guessing game on identifying multis just won't do. People have guessed incorrectly before, it will happen again.

Lastly conspiracy theories about going after "Indian millions" are just as trollish/offensive to me as any of Bun's trollish posts on the forum. How about we have a healthy and constructive debate without resorting to such attacks on our characters?

The Whole Indian bias argument is pretty irritating and provocative when you associate everything with it. And so is the i got infracted/banned for "Calling it is at is", "Stating the bloody obvious" argument, and the attempt to hide everything behind it.

This is a pretty close reflection of my opinion on things. I wish he didn't get the reaction that he is craving for.

The problem with that is the age/maturity of some posters needed to understand they're being trolled. At least this site isn't filled with 12-14 year olds like Planet Cricket but there is always goign to be a few who will rise to any form of baiting.
