Mildly surprised at the Ponting love from my fellow countrymen. Great player but always found him rather disagreeable with the constant whinging to the umps.
It has surprised me how much I have warmed to Ponting in the last couple of years - it all stems back to the way the leeksuckers treated him at the Cardiff Test in '09 and the dignity he showed in the face of that - although I expect his loss of form has helped too

Agree with you, but he didn't have much competition in his battle though.

I like Blewett as a bloke and commentator, but I'm leaning more of this to onfield. Wasn't the biggest Blewett fan as a batsman.

I really like Ponting as a competitor and as an opponent, though. Not to mention he's a modern legend with the bat.

In most people's case here, I'd think it's the lack of wanting to vote for a cricketer they haven't seen much of.
