You think after yesterday Lendi Simmons wouldn't have bowled again. There was no need for him as well.

Well, unsurprisingly, that was a convincing win for Trinidad....

Barath and Simmons got Trinidad off to a flyer, each of them hitting 60s, and then Rampaul finishes with 4-14 as Trinidad romp to a comprehensive 51-run win. The Foxes just couldn't cope with his pace, and couldn't handle spinners Badree and Narine. Badree's been around a while, and played here in 2009, so he shouldn't be a surprise - there's videos to watch.

Taylor seemed to have difficulty batting against that trio, and only seems to have made runs when the game was already lost....

How this team managed to win our T20 competition I'll never know. Especially with the bowling, McDonald got most of the runs.

Edit: Actually it was Cobb's bowling wasn't it.

Shivfan, is Badree as good a T20 bowler as his economy of 4.68 suggests? That a pretty incredible ER to maintain over even 24 games.

Somerset ought to have a decent chance if they can get through the qualification. Unlike Leics, they're not rubbish, and they also have experience of the CLT20 which probably helps. If they can make it through and get Kieswetter and Buttler back, obviously Trescothick is still a big miss but it's only your best batsman rather than your best three batsmen.

Well they should be able to compete at least in terms of quality. Wouldn't fancy them in a final mind.

Unfortunately teams like Leicestershire getting through to the CL are inevitable when you have such sub-standard pitches in County Cricket T20. Finals day always produces an awful slow pitch which negates quality. Anti-cricket wins basically. That isn't going to translate well into an international competition in different conditions.

For all the talk of him being an England prospect, I've never seen Hildreth successfully lead a chase. Would be good to see him do it here.

He's a weird one.

Seems to play aggressively when no need to, yet conservative batting when aggressive is needed!

Well Snell's the one doing it right now. First time I've seen him, awkward-looking batsman. Actually got quite a good record in T20, considering he'll be coming in with an over or two left most of the time.
