Its stupid to blame Bopara anyway, England wouldn't be in the position they were in without him.

Batted magnificently, and I'm one of his critics.

As much as I never thought he should be playing, really wish Bopara had smited that for 6. Really deserved a hundred, easily his best innings for England in all formats. :(

This will be a tie I think. As much as it should end on its own terms, a tie would be fitting to the game.

They have to be playing by 6.20 (7 mins) or it's a tie. That's just crap, it's like having the final five minutes of the film taped over.
It is a bit silly it'll still be light well past 7, but looking at this rain, I'm not sure even that would help.

So much rain, that I reckon it'll be dangerous for the fielding side too, really don't see it.

So really the batsmen should have known with the rain starting to pour, Ravi just needed to not get out or hit a single and we would have won.

I know down at Lords they can only use lights so many times a year but there's still a few hours of daylight to be had.

Don't think they knew that with the umpires continuing to play in the rain previously, they would decide to go off immediately after the wickets.

But they were still playing in really heavy rain. It didn't look like they would go off no matter what.

And it's official the game if Tied. Unbelievable.

He can't predict the rain, though, he was trying to get the rate in check before the final over, which IMO was the right thing to do with little/no wickets left. Was unfortunate that the rain came.

The rain has apparently stopped and they could start in 15 minutes but the match has to be called off.

Some of these rules and their implementations are ****.

Just saying what they were talking about on Sky.

Shame it ended that way ,was looking forward to watching Finny launch some of his trademark sixes.

Bopara MOTM for saving the game for England and securing the series. India really will feel bad after batting so well to not win the game. They really can't buy a win this tour can they? :p

The problem with D/L is that it doesn't take into account the quality of batsmen to come in. You could have 2 absolute bunnies left or 2 batsmen who average 100 and it still would count the same to your par score needed.

Neither does it take into account a possibly injured batsman.
