Fart getting a 50 is so annoying half expecting a press conference by Mohsin Khan tommorow calling Farhat's selection a stroke of genius.

andyZaltzmann'sHair sent this in before the Powerplay was taken: "If I was Hafeez, I'd take the powerplay now he's got his hundred, and hopefully do Pak a favour and help get his team mate out. Or possibly run Farhat out and have the perfect match."

Saleem Malik said that game was chucked and he should know he played in it! But I can't recall the last time when Zim beat Pak. Could be mid to late 90s when Zim toured Pak?

Anyhow 100 for Hafeez. Last 18 months he has averaged 39 in ODIs with the bat (SR 77) and 33 with the ball (ER 4.19). Top all-rounder.
Last time Pakistan lost to them was in November 1998.

I know it's becoming passe to act all gobsmacked at Hafeez's improvement as a cricketer but I still can't quite get over it. He'd been playing for seven years before he suddenly woke up one day and was good.

He's always looked pretty talented and technically equipped; he always took me as someone who was under-achieveing. I guess it's why he was given so many chances - that and his surprisingly effective bowling. His transformation hasn't surprised me as much as a most; it was always just a matter of him getting his head together. Admittedly it was seeming less and less likely that it would ever happen.

still don't rate him that much tbh there is a reason his FC average is in the low 30's over a long career he is just not very good however credit to him over the past 12 months he has certainly stepped up.

Are there Twenty games up next? Because I do not expect Rameez being given way in the next ODI.

The guy, rameez, needs a run in ODIs/T20 perhaps not only because he has been the top scorer in domestic but also because he is my cousins best friends friend.

As if I abused you in the post?, you seem to be very pricky about rules, I beg your pardon but how many infraction points do you have? :-P

true, Fawad Alam is the most-deserving person who is out of the team just purely based on political reasons.

Fawad Alam isn't really suited for the shorter formats. His lack of muscle is so infuriating. He gathers all the energy in the world, and you think this ball is going to burst into flames and fall 25 kms out of the park, only to see it land sheepishly inside the inner circle.

He has the temperament and concentration to be a very good test batsman though.
