Is it just me, or does Marsh seem like one of these batsman who makes good looking runs in tough situations but fails when the going is good? I can recall so many innings of his that were just superb, in a tricky match, but when the flat one day pitch comes along on a sunny day he nicks a dead straight one!

I'd bet on that. Only difference is Bevan faced incredible stiff competition for a spot, Marsh could play 60 tests before they realise he is the new Ramprakash.

The difference being that Bevan and Ramprakash were absolute gods domestically. Marsh will actually need to have a reasonable Test career to go down as good as Ramprakash in my books and he'll need to have a pretty ****ing good one for me to consider him the equal of Bevan.

Haha, wouldn't surprise me that much if Marsh got a bowl actually. Bowls some reasonable useful SLA that has never really been utilised because WA have North and Voges. It's pies really but he bowls a lot better than a man of his career record would suggest.
