Is the Condition of the Current Indian Team the Worst Ever In Terms of Injuries?

Sehwag, Gambhir, Yuvraj, Tendulkar, Zaheer, Harbhajan, Ishant, Rohit Sharma, Pujara (injured from befored, would have got selected otherwise)...and and may be few more...i am sure they would want to find the first possible flight back home...can one think of one touring side having more injured palyers...before and during the series?

Must be. I cannot recollect such an enmasse sick leave by another touring team. Whatever bad luck Indian team evaded in the last 4 years have extracted it's toll with interest thereupon in this single series. Every damn thing that can go wrong has gone wrong.

Migara

International Coach
Malinga, Thilan Thushara, Dilhara Fernando, Nuwan Pradeep, Dhammika Prasad and Mathews were all injured in last one month for SL. There are some serious amounts of fast bowling among the above players.

8 of those names in the 1st post have actually played in this series.

England went to Australia in 2002/03 and the following didn't play through injury or got injured on tour!

Gough, Flintoff, Thorpe and Hoggard (Missed the whole Test series)

Harmison (missed 1st Test injured), Jones (injured on the 1st Day of 1st Test), Caddick (missed 3rd Test injured), Crawley (missed 2 Tests injured), Stewart (missed the Boxing Day Test), Giles (broke his wrist and missed the remainder of the tour), White (missed the 5th Test injured), Silverwood (injured in the 1 Test he played) and Tudor (got his noggin smashed by Brett Lee).

No excuses from England. No crying from England. No sympathy from India who mocked a 4-1 defeat to the greatest Test side of all time.

They all both played and failed in the test series so no excuses for them.

atleast we were number one before your bunch of supermen were. with the same lazy out of shape donkey guys. throw in a world cup win and a t20 world cup win and you'd almost forgive them for a series loss.atleast your supermen had to wait till half of our donkeymen fell away due to injuries to beat us in a decade and half. :p

absolutely...and i am not trying to force an excuse...the question was, can u think of any other touring side (s) that had so many injuries before and during the series...
Before anyone jumps down my throat that is what England did in the Australia tour mentioned above, was an absolute shambles.

not agreed, England had a "moral victory" in 2001-02 when they came in India

How many posts it took for this to turn into a trolling battle: 5.

Honestly, this kind of injury crisis will have happened numerous time - yes its unfortunate but its sounding more and more like an excuse from some people. We had an injury crisis in the WC, but obviously the fact that only 8 players were out instead of 9 makes all the difference.
