The great thing about Clarke (and Hughes to a lesser extent and now Huss) is that they've pushed the scoring along quickly without playing silly shots. Very different to how the Lankans (esp Sanga and Parana) played it with just letting the Australian bowlers bowl maidens. This pitch will get you in the end so getting some runs can loosen up the field a little make it easier to survive.

Good to see Aussie batsmen have realised that this isn't a wicket where you can graft and the positive intent displayed in the 2nd innings so far has paid big time for us, from here on anything between 350-400 should be more than enough to defend on this track.

Hope I don't jinx him but this innings it has been vintage Clarke on display, this is how he used to bat till 2007and this is how he should look to bat on most occasions.
