Haven't seen Clarke or Ponting's out, but tbf to Watson and Hughes, both got jaffas. Sounds like Clarke misread an arm ball.

It always looks bad when players get a start but don't got on. It doesn't preclude them getting a Jaffa though.

I'm hoping he gets that time. I like him a lot as a batsman and he's come in under the hammer so it would do his confidence a world of good to get some runs here.

It's not like he scores runs for fun anymore. Him getting out after looking good is pretty much par for the course these days.

Lankans have a pretty smart plan in place they know that our batsmen score bulk of their runs in boundaries against spin and to negate that they have set in-out fields for their spinners which has allowed them to attack the Aussie batsmen and yet keep the runs down, Ponting played that shot in frustration more than anything else because post lunch the runs have really dried up.

Lakmal has a pretty good action for generating reverse swing. Slightly slingy/round-arm in approach and the wrist is not the worst either.

Didn't see him reversing it much in England, but these conditions are tailormade for that kind of bowling. I am not sure if they have maintained the ball well enough though.
