congratulations to England for the taking the number 1 position and doing it in emphatic style.

4-0. Is it the first time that a number one ranked team has been whitewashed?
Possibly not - we discussed this on another thread a few days ago.

Other candidates are India losing all 3 in England in 1974 and Australia losing all 4 in SA in 1970.

International Captain
Really pleased for Swanny, 9 wickets in the match, he's bowled brilliantly these last couple of days.WAG

Lol! Gavaskar is on the verge of apoplexy.

I'd pay € 100 to see Ravi Shastri in person at this moment and notice his expressions!

Belly played a good un and was on the winning side but that really should have gone to Dravid. Batted when the pitch was spinning with venom against the best bowling side in the world while Bell batted on it at its most placid against a joke attack.

You know things are bad when Mishra has the second best batting average after a four-Test series!

Lessons for India....

1) When key batsmen like Sehwag and Gambhir choose to risk an injury playing IPL, it can have repercussions for subsequent Test and ODI series.

2) When star players like Tendulkar choose to "rest" after playing in the IPL, and skip a Test and ODI tour of the Caribbean, their form might plummet during a Test tour of England.

3) If players like Yuvraj and Zaheer are not "fit" enough for a Test and ODI tour of the Caribbean, despite playing in the IPL, chances are they won't be fit enough to play Test cricket in England.

In short, if you give priority to IPL over Test and ODI cricket, even against the lowly West Indies, chances are it's going to come back to bite you in the you-know-where....
....dude I hope you don't get another moderator warning :p

haha.......so true man...I was thinking the same thing.........I want to play those "they are just jealous" comments in front of Shastri and ask him his opinion of them

Agreed! I would have gone Dravid or Swann for the man of the match.

Broad is now a bona fide match-winning all-rounder. Consider me officially a convert from now on. I have been one of his severest critics in the past, but the man has now come of age. Pace, bounce and movement with the ball, a natural strokeplayer and (now) knows his game very well - he's just the thing cricket lovers would kill for.

No argument about the Indian player of the series. Anyone disagrees?

And as for the Indian side they have decided to join Anna Hazare and the rest of the country in protest and won't win a match till the Janlokpal bill is passed:p
