Whatever it takes!!!
****ing rubbish. Nasser is one of the reasons why the Sky commentary team receive so much praise from the cricketing world. I'll admit Nasser hasn't quite been at his best in this series so far but usually he is a quality commentator who offers some quality thoughts and analyses on the game.

Shastri on the other hand, is a biased, antagonzing and vocal prick. Terrible commentator.
you guys are getting worked up without understanding what happened...

Nasser said BCCI refusing to use UDRS was "disgraceful".. Shastri said Hussain had no right to call India's decision "disgraceful".. And said the British media have just been jealous of India's rise to #1 in test rankings and the WC win... Hussain wanted to clear the air face to face today and brought it up. He mentioned that as a veteran having played 96 tests and being a contracted commentator for ESPN, he has the right to voice his opinion. Shastri said he didn't question that but that BCCI, as a board, had the right to refuse the use of any technology they had doubts about. Hussain accepted that but mentioned that had it been any country, his position would have been the same as he trusts the UDRS and the technology. Regarding the "jealousy" statement, Hussain said he was as happy as anyone that India is doing well and Shastri explained that was about the British media in general and not directed at Hussain. Hussain accepted that and they moved on to a discussion about DRS and using everything but the predictive part of hawk eye as the others are fine even for BCCI...

That is about as close to a verbatim account as you are gonna get about this issue, btw :)

Think India should be very concerned with the type of innings KP is building too. While he's in the flow, Bell's just going to go with it but KP looks like he's setting himself for a patient ton. If he gets past 100, India will be in deep ****.

I can understand the BCCI's reservations against the predictive path of Hawk Eye and the accuracy of hot spot. But it is surprising to me how many of these poor decisions could be completely eliminated by just using the television replay. I suspect, with 90% of decisions that are wrong, you can tell from just the replay whether there is inside edge or whether it pitched in line with the stumps. This is really what they system was set up to do - eliminate the howlers. How many people could not ascertain a plumb lbw that isnt given from just the television replay?

Think about it a little. No hawk eye, no hot spot, no snicko and no need to fork up any additional costs as it is essentially the same process that we use for run out referrals at the moment. And yet we aren't using that!
Funny thing is, the BCCI (and Sachin/Dhoni for that matter) were big fans of the hotspot and were always sold on it... That is why when push came to shove and they had the opportunity to use hot spot without hawkeye, they did it.

Yep, starting to motor now, reckon he'll go for the spinners when they come back. This idea of Ishant bowling short, is one I approve of.

Pietersen bossing it here. India need him out ASAP, or he'll take it from them in a trice.
