Umpiring Errors

Has there been anything said/hinted wrt to the opposite?
Or are we still going based on Mind reading skills and speculation?
And speculation whether it would have been overturned or not in anycase?

Sky would have confirmed from Morgan/Dressing room and then mentioned it. They are the same ownership(controlling), but they are no NOTW:p
If they were lying England team would have denied it.
What are talking about here. I've said Sky have said 2 differing points supposedly both made by Morgan. Tbh I can't be arsed going through this again, I just thought it was interesting he made a point of asking the umpire.

So his fault for not knowing when he Can review it or not. England team management should have told it's players of what the conditions are, instead of moaning what they wanted it to be.
This is all mega speculation in a hypothetical world in anycase.
I haven't got a clue where your going with this now.

I wish I wasn't replying but hey ho.

Forget what happened, what you think the decision should have been etc.

England Team Management HAS told its players what they can and can't review. And they can't review ANY lbw decisions.

Therefore, if a player believes he's been given out lbw, he can't review it.

And the England player and board have every right to moan about the ****ty playing conditions enforced by the new monied trash that run world cricket, the BCCI.

Your whole argument is in a Hypothetical world (Which i don't agree with), he thought he was given LBW and not Caught behind.

Now, it is his fault in anycase for not confirming with the umpire what he was given out for when he should have known that he can review for Caught behind and the ball went so close to the bat and pad and ended up in the keeper's glove. Who in turn was holding it in his hand appealing.

In any case can't arsed with this further. But have to say that find this stance of not trusting the batsman without motive, after everyone asks them to be honest truly Lolworthy.

Post applies @ GIMH too.

I think the fact he went and asked the umpire why he'd been given out today was quite suggestive, though, in all seriousness.
Sreesanth apologising to a county batsman after getting him out with a peach typifies what a being he's been on the field....

Fair enough. Only that here in Morgan's case there is NO conclusive proof he believed he's been given out lbw.

 Atleast BCCI have rightly earned money...

Those like the one today in the middle of Broad's hat trick only count as half a point as the other half is due to India's own stupidity.

Hate to harp on about the BCCI being a force for evil, but the Harbhajan dismissal shows what a nonsense it is to have a blanket ban on referring LBWs. Whatever one feels about the predictive element of Hawkeye, it would've had the square root of Fanny Adams effect on a batsman smashing one into his pads. Yes, India were the victims here, but mightn't be the next time.

It makes test cricket seem like one of those playground games one played as a nipper where "no ell bees" was standard because they were the source of too many free and frank exchanges of opinion.

They were? News to me. Sounded like they reluctantly agreed to some form of UDRS since they were the only ones holding out and hot spot was universally pushed as the most accurate technology.
