Mukund goes...

The decision of sending Saha as back up wicketkeeper now seems even more ridiculous.... With Pathiv Patel at least they would have had a back up opening batsman.

Not expecting much for VVS here.
What about Dinesh Karthik. He was superb with the bat in 2007.

Its important for the likes of Dhoni, Yuvraj and Raina to play their natural game here rather than just looking to prod. Poor shot from Mukund. Pushing at the first ball without any footwork at all.

Absolutely.Patel was a much much better option.

The real key would be to see off Andersen. The guy is bowling beautifully. Broad didn't look like swinging it all that much.

His keeping has gone downhill since than and hasn't been in very good batting form either.
Yeah. His keeping has gone downhill, but he had the priceless attribute of being proven in English conditions in Tests. His batting in that series was really quite exceptional.

Patel is not too good.
Still better than Saha though.... I'd rather have Patel opening batting and Dravid coming in at one down and VVS at his usual position and no Yuvraj in the test team.
