So what you're saying is that theres a 50% chance that England wont win a single test in the series?

The India get better through a series excuse is starting to wear thin to be honest.

Packed stadium especially for a dying format...

Game set up perfectly. If England have pretentions of being number 1 then it needs someone to bowl a special spell. India will not give this away. One England bowler needs to take this game by the throat. Needs to be seen if it will happen.

Doesn't explicitly mean that England have no chance if they don't win today in the rest of the series like some are suggesting.
Well, don't know who said that, but the view coming into the series, and given the current situation, this is certainly England's best chance to win.

Is it just me or would you have expected Strauss to have set a considerably more attacking field? Surely he can't think that India are entertaining thoughts of going for the win?

India should get better through a series because they generally have such awful preparation. A single warm-up game in conditions very different to what they're used to playing on is pathetic planning, although they do have players with good experience of playing in England, but not for some time. They get what they deserve when they lose the opening Tests.

I'm hoping this England side is good enough to win the Test today and be strong enough to not let them back in the series.

haha...just read Sanz post the game has no where been close as he suggests England took a 190 run lead and then had a comfortable declaration despite few hiccups and set India a world record chase.. Its been more like a football game having a scoreline of 1-0 with 20 minutes left, the team loosing having a couple of shots at goal and that too from long range however the team leading still far from assured of victory.

even if this is a draw I still back both sides to win atleast one of the next 3 however India is imo more likely to win 2/3

Winning from 1-0 with 20 minutes is a lot more likely than chasing 450.
