there is absolutely no way that not declaring could've gone wrong.
Come Monday if we had them 8 or 9 down it would have gone wrong not declaring. I'm personally neither here nor there on the declaration see the advantages of both so would go along with either.

Celebrating injuries to players you don't like is dire. Gonna stick with my decision to stay away from this place for the rest of this series.
Speaking personally I was joking. In my first post after Gambhir wore it I said something like "no one likes to see that".

Has it been mentioned yet - Prior now has more runs than Les Ames, from the same number of matches and at a better average.

Again - no - because you'd just declare earlier in the second innings. Declaring didn't actually give England any more time to win the game at all. They hadn't scored enough runs for India to draw the game without passing their score anyway. It accomplished one thing and one thing only - it made England slightly more vulnerable in the event of a second innings collapse. If it takes England so long to take twenty Indian wickets that India were going to be batting for the entire time from declaration until the end of Day 5 then India would have well and truly passed England's score anyway making it irrelevant.

No, because he hasn't.

Needs to make 86 in this innings to pass Ames in test runs. He's also played three matches fewer than Ames.

With the team crumbling to injury, Tendulkar arrives just in time to share with his few fit team mates his viral infection.
hahaha, Tendulkar loves spreading the wholesome goodness, eh?
How'd he get infected?

Does Tendulker need to be on the pitch for the same length of time as he was off it, for him to be able to bat at 4?
