Loving Tendulkar here. Looks like he is ready to dominate the series and remind England why they will never be number 1.
reading through the thread page by page but am guessing Shri has disappeared back into his.hole?

Neil's correct from a grammatical point of view, but it does seam (sic) to go:

Fast
Fast medium
Medium fast
Medium

I think I once heard it mooted thaht the assignations were originally fast/medium & medium/fast, which I suppose might explain the anomaly.

I suppose by extention "medium slow" would be quicker than "slow medium" too. Can't recall seeing them used on cricinfo tho. Even Chris Harris gets awarded "medium".

Yeah I agree, but it doesn't actually work like that in the mind of whoever came up with the terminology.
Aye, does appear to be the case. Strikes me as totally arbitrary as to whether someone's FM or MF anyway and, let's be fair, it doesn't make a blind bit of difference in the grand scheme of things.

Cricinfo goes fast > fast-medium > medium fast > medium.
CricInfo is pretty useless and inconsistent with it a lot of the time though. Darren Bravo is supposedly medium-fast but I saw him sending a few down in the nets during that Test Rampaul got injured in, and his bowling is probably slower than Yardy's darts.

Would say that sort of thing is almost all down to not updating the profiles as quick as they could.

Quite. I genuinely thought they were the same thing. After all, when we want to get specific, we use tried-and-tested ol' numbers.

If I don't see Swann bowl tomorrow I can't be held accountable for my actions at the close of play.

Those two guys who chose to miss the entire tour of the Caribbean, Gambhir and Sachin, both failed to make half-centuries....

I couldn't be happier....
In all fairness the Caribbean air hasn't seemed to help Raina's batting all that much tho.
