*Official* First Test at Lord's

Bloody good shot that. If Praveen averages 25 then surely he should bat above Harby?
He isn't established as a test match pick yet so the selectors wouldn't know how he'd go as a bat at test level.

Plus Harby tonned up twice last year and played a few other useful knocks.

To be fair Harby has got a couple of hundreds in test cricket so I can see why they sent him in first.
Harbhajan averages 39 in his last ten Tests with two tons though.

Tremlett is real good though.. I dunno why people think he has not been his usual self but that only shows how good he must really be.. For me, he is good except in the early stages when he seemed to eager with the new ball..
Yes and no. Tremlett is an awkward bowler to face because of his height and steepling bounce and that doesnt change whether his radar is all over the place or not. Has he bowled well this game? No, because they've shown his pitch map a gazillion times and all his deliveries have been too short for these conditions and not threatening the stumps. I fail to see how this is good bowling.

Not really sure what the point of this post is.
If I had said he was absolutely crap, you would've whinged about it. And now, even when I compliment him, you're whinging about it. Jeez is there anything that makes you people happy? :p

Shows how poorly India have batted on a very flat deck though when Anderson has been poor and Tremlett all over the place yet they still needed some lower order hitting to save the follow on.

India always start off poor in the series. The preparation and amount of time to adjust to the conditions has been dismal. So this was surely expected, we've seen it far too often now.

Expect the real India to show up in the following tests. This is why, imo, it is critical for England to win this match.

Fun while it lasted. And it avoided the follow-on.

Would lol if Dravid got stranded in the 90s.

Yeah but if Zaheer is unfit then you will struggle to take 20 wickets anyway. He is the key man for your series.
