Rahul Dravid - What would you do? Is he still one of India's 6 best batsman?

massive player would give an arm to have a player like him play for my team legend is an overused world but fits here perfectly.

hang on

State Vice-Captain
Is it safe to call Dravid better than any other batsman in India's history barring Tendulkar and Gavaskar?

The comparison just hit me since Dravid is such a massivley underated player.
Thought that the cricketing cognoscenti had it as such. Tendulkar, Gavaskar, Dravid....the rest. With Gavaskar, in a few cases, trumping Tendulkar.

International Debutant
There is no question that Dravid has struggled against good attacks in recent years. On the surface this hundred doesn't change that since the Windies attack is mediocre at best and Dravid should have been caugh early. Still the pitch was difficult so the overall level of challenge was quite high and Dravid did look pretty good while batting.

Overall I would say this innings does establish that Dravid is one of India's six best batsmen and deserves a place in the team against England. Whether he can regain his best form and succeed against England is still an open question.

Without Rahul Dravid, India would have been lost for past 2 months.

This is why it is important to show faith for players of his calibure.

I'd back Ponting to comeback strongly as well

Sheer, unadulterated class.

Never knew till now that his test batting average is higher than his Test bowling average. Great all-rounder rather than great batsman then?

Love how all these threads are being answered after each day's play.

First it was Zaheer vs Cook, then PK, followed by Broad and lastly Dravid.
