It was unwelcome, yes. But it was only from a particular section. It was poor behaviour for sure but light-hearted.Yeah that's what I meant. Thought it was absolutely disgraceful after India had won.

White lies! He got applauded when he reached his hundred and also when he left the pitch. Was booed only at the presentation.Ponting's booing in England was pantomime stuff. Always got clapped after an innings.
We booed him like anything at Headingley in 09 when he came on. He played a blinding 70-odd, one of the great non-centuries of all-time for my money, and got a standing ovation.
In the WC, he played a great innings. And got booed off.
I was thinking the exact same thing. He looks great.Just watching the Dexter docu on Sky. Jeez Snowy's looking well, isn't he? Clearly still looking after himself. Wouldn't want to mess with him.
Mukund's made a definite improvement from the W.Indies. Fidel Edwards troubled him more in any of his spells than any of the English bowlers today.Good session, broad looks a completely different bowler when he pitches it up, actually quite dangerous. Mukund pissed it away in no uncertain terms, terrible way to get out, still upto that point was quite impressed with him, hadn't backed him to do much at all this series. I think Anderson and Tremlett have been a bit dissapointing from England's point of view, though Tremlett was good just before lunch. BTW the roses match is looking like an all time great county game, shame Bresnan had to slip in half way.
Cricket is a gentleman's game, one of the first things your taught as a kid, or at least it used to be... There's no reason why it can't be played in good spirits, this ridiculous obsession with overt show of aggression and hostility are for the cameras and nothing else, if your batting you couldnt give two ****s about it. I'd rather see players being friendly with each other than acting like *****.Perhaps this is the Philadelphia fan in me, but why in the world would you want the opposition to feel welcome? Home advantage ffs. You can appreciate a player all you want later. When he's playing, the atmosphere should be oppressive.
Meh. No it isn't. And I doubt it ever really was.Cricket is a gentleman's game, one of the first things your taught as a kid, or at least it used to be...
Tbh I like to see it on the cricket field as long as it doesn't go too far, this friendly stuff, gets on my nerves.I can tell you that down here at least being nice to the opposition onfield was most definitely not an instruction I ever heard.
So do I. Enjoyed the spice at Perth especially.Tbh I like to see it on the cricket field as long as it doesn't go too far, this friendly stuff, gets on my nerves.
